Disclaimer!!! We are absolute blog novices, but we love stories especially when it involves history and romance (thank you Diana Gabaldon). We are no writers or authors, (But have great hope we will one day become truly awesome writers) and the truth is by the time you read this it would have been rewritten a hundred times and there will still be spelling mistakes and grammar errors.
Hi, I'm Christine, the slightly older sister,
I'm Kerri the very much younger sister (Age is just a number)
So why you may ask, are we writing this!!!
The answer is that objects tell stories and I along with my sister Christine love old beautiful objects (in Christine's case some not so beautiful objects, (Please! beauty is in the eye of the beholder!) but that's a story for another time), and those wonderful pieces tell stories of the artists who made them, the company's that sold them, in some cases the families they were made for, for the families who used them, the special occasions that they were brought out for.... or not brought out for!!!! (The drama, the romance, the heartbreak!)
And what's more, that in your hands these pieces will continue to tell new stories as your lives are intwined in the making of history.
Old Soul Haven (from now on referred to as Soul haven) has been established so that everyday people can enjoy and afford exquisite vintage pieces so that they too can have a wee bit of history and maybe a bit of romance of times gone by, all the while creating new stories that will maybe be passed onto a new generation to ponder over and to carry on the stories that have been told and then to make new ones.

This Beautiful Aves English China was brought by me at an auction. Why did I buy it? (because she secretly wanted it for herself, like I don't know her!)
Because it was pink, because it spoke of whimsical romance, of countryside picnics, a slowing of time in long grass and wildflowers, with tight busted lady's with flowing dresses, and a gentleman wooing her to marry him .(ahh when a man knew how to woo) I can see already some of you are with me, while others are trying not to gag. (nothing funnier than witnessing a good gag ha-ha). Hang in there!!
The auction finished they were mine Yay! and I thought yip I can sell these and they won't be very expensive. I might even keep them myself!! (Told you so!! I will be bringing out my big sister boss look to keep her in line)
Up rocks another sister Janeen (there are 7 siblings). Janeen is an accountant and a good one. She sees this beautiful China and her reaction is oh that's pretty, what's it worth and begins to google. This is what she finds
The Royal crown Derby, Aves pattern designed by Albert Gregory around 1932 it is embellished with birds and flora and is bordered with 22crt gold. (love a bit of bling me)
And Voila - that's it, out voted, (absolutely) I'm not allowed to keep them and now it's all yours.
(But truly don't feel that you have to buy it, I can absolutely keep it and continue my stories of flowy dress and handsome men.) (absolutely not!)
